Laura Atkinson

Laura Atkinson is a board certified Nurse Practitioner, who earned her Masters of Nursing degree from Chamberlain University, and her Bachelors of Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. She joined Dr. Ayub’s practice related to her own interest in Gastroenterology and  Interventional Endoscopy. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Laura was a Registered Nurse for 8 years in the Surgical Trauma ICU at Christ Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center. With her personal and professional experiences, she sees value and importance of patient education regarding  GI health, and promotes patient advocacy to support their daily healthcare needs. Laura is a member of the Executive Board of Illinios Endoscopy Society (IES),  the Course Coordinator for the annual 2025 IES Conference and actively participates in ongoing research at Dr. Ayub’s practice.
